Hungry Joe’s Top 5 I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Bushtucker Trial moments!
I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will be returning to our screens this Sunday and we can’t wait to watch a load of famous faces at their wits end, being tormented by bugs, snakes and other horrible critters.
As we celebrate the jungle being back on our screens (can you believe this will be the show’s seventeenth series?) we take a trip down (under) memory lane to revisit some of our favourite ever Bushtucker Trials.
1. Dean Gaffney does anything but relax at the Jungle Spa
We kick off with an absolute corker of a classic from the archives. Way back in 2006, Dean Gaffney had a nightmare live on TV as he took on a spa so bad it would have you scrabbling to leave your 0 rating on TripAdvisor.
(Side note – how young do Ant and Dec look here by the way?)
2. Katie Price and Kerry Katona eating an array of live creepy crawlies … yum!
Before Katie & Peter started their infamously doomed romance, Katie faced something rather less appealing in the jungle after she was sent on numerous Bushtucker Trials by the public. Here’s one of our favourites with Atomic Kitten singer and reality favourite, Kerry Katona.
We also enjoyed Kerry’s questionable tactic of furiously clapping through every course. Not sure it helped that much Kerry.
3. Joel Dommet reaches for the stars in the Celebrity Cyclone
One of the highlights of every series, the Celebrity Cyclone is the ultimate battle against the elements and you really feel for the four facing the hoses here. Let’s hope they bring it back in this series!
4. Gillian McKeith keeps the nation on the edge of its seats by fainting live on TV
Known for her fainting spells during tasks, the public once again showed no mercy as they repeatedly voted for Gillian to take place in the Bushtucker trials. Here is one of the most worrying incidents, which was broadcast live.
5. Scarlett Moffatt’s fermented egg … it’s no kebab, is it Scarlett?
A Bake Off with a difference, Carol and Scarlett gamely chowed down on ‘whole brain loaf’ and a fermented egg hidden in a ‘pane-groany’. We defy you not to chuckle at Scarlett’s hilarious reactions, proving why she was a worthy Queen of the Jungle and must-have clip in our top five moments.
We can promise that Hungry Joe’s meals are a whole lot more enjoyable than a gruesome Bushtucker trial and with I’m a Celebrity returning to ITV this Sunday at 9pm, there’s still plenty of time to get yourself down to your local ASDA and pick up some meals to fuel you through the next three weeks of jungle madness!
